Description: Elgen duct access doors are designed to provide convenient, economical access to duct components. The insulated door panel, along with neoprene gasketing between the door and frame assures a tight seal without obstruction to the air system.
Options: Elgen duct access doors also can be made in Aluminum, and Stainless Steel. We can supply any size door or specific gauge to fit your needs. We also supply brass pin hinges for specified ductwork jobs. We can also attach cables to the doors. Heavy duty handles are also available.
Specifications:
Door: Standard elgen access doors are made out of 24 gauge Galv. Steel, double panel. Access doors 14”x 14” or larger are standard 22 gauge.
Frame: Access door frames are made out of 24 gauge Galvanized Steel with 5/8” notched knock over tabs. We can also supply other gauges to fit your specifications. Frames can be made out of 20 or 22 gauge galvanized metal.
Hinge: Continuous 2” Aluminum piano hinge with a stainless steel pin.
Gasketing: 1/8”x ½” Neoprene gasketing between door and frame.
Latch: Self-tightening, hand operated cam latches.
Pressure rating: Standard doors are good up to ±4”w.g.
Doors can be made high pressure which are good for up to ±10”w.g.
Insulation: Elgen access doors are insulated with 1”, 3lb.density board.

Frame: Access door frames are made out of 24 gauge Galvanized Steel with a 1” flange around the outside of the door. The flange also overlaps ½” on the inside. This flange allows for deviations in installations without compromising air leakage in the duct system. The flange also eliminates the need for sealer. We can also supply other gauges to fit your specifications. Frames can be made out of 20 or 22 gauge Galvanized metal.

1/8”x1-½” Neoprene gasketing with psa on both sides to attach the frame to ductwork.
